Oil
Change and Routine Maintenance
An engines oil should be changed every 3,000
- 4,000 miles. When we change your oil we replace the oil and oil filter
plus:
- check all other fluids (brake, transmission,
cooling and windshield washer) and replenish as necessary
- lubricate all chassis grease fittings
- check the condition of all engine belts
- check the condition of all cooling hoses
- check the condition of front and rear brakes and brake hoses
- suspension components (shocks and struts)
- check tire condition and air pressure
Braking System
The condition
of your brakes should be evaluated when you have your oil changed or
when
you hear or feel any abnormality when braking. We use the finest brake
lining available which carry a lifetime parts warranty. We check the
condition
of your entire braking system and repair, clean and / or adjust as required.
Cooling System
Cooling systems should
be maintained every 2 years. They should be flushed and the fluids replaced.
Older vehicles use a Glycol based antifreeze while newer vehicles may
use an extended life antifreeze like Dexcool®. These products should
be replaced every 5 years or when they become dirty.
Transmission
Service and Repair
Transmission
should be serviced in accordance with the manufacture's recommendation.
Service normally includes fluid and filter changes. Your transmission's
fluid should always be checked when your oil is changed. We use hydraulic
fluids which meet or exceed all manufacturer's specifications. Air
Conditioning System
Air conditioning systems should be checked in late
spring, before the onset of hot summer weather. Our Certified Air Conditioning
mechanics will evaluate your systems performance. They will then repair,
clean and / or recharge your system, as needed. Electrical
Systems
Newer vehicle engines and accessory systems
are controlled by the several microprocessor modules located throughout
the vehicle. Our Certified mechanics use the latest electronic test equipment
and the latest manufacturer's databases to troubleshoot, locate and repair
electric problems.
Alignment
and Suspensions - Struts and Shocks
Wheel Alignment should be checked after the
winter season is over or when you have your tires replaced. We use the
latest computer technology to perform 4 wheel alignments recommended by
most vehicle manufacturers. Suspension components should be visually inspected
during routine maintenance. We use components which meet or exceed manufacturer's
recommended specifications which in most cases carry a lifetime parts
warranty. Alarms
and Remote Starters
We
are certified to install both car alarms and remote starters. We have
a wide variety of alarms and remote starters to meet your needs.
